Thayillam Paints was founded on August 24, 1995, in a small space of only 400 square feet, with only two major brands (ie.Asian Paints and Berger). Thayillam paints evolved in a traditional way, and by 1999, the age of Automatic Color Dispensing System (Colour Mixing) had arrived, and it was implemented in Thayillam paints with Berger Color Bank.The showroom was relocated to the first floor of the Thayillam Shopping Complex and extended to approximately 1000 square feet. The improved visibility and changed ambience attracted a large number of customers in and around Trivandrum, earning Thayillam Paints goodwill and a reputation as a trustworthy paint store to be reckoned with by most in the industry. Thayillam Paints is now one of the most well-known paint stores in Trivandrum City.

Though Thayillam Paints had established an enviable place in Trivandrum’s retail trade, Color World (Asian Paints’ Automatic Color Dispensing System) was introduced to our store in 2002, contributing significantly to our volume growth as well as our image as a credible retailer with multiple brands available, etc.Thayillam Paints, as one of the leading paint shops in Trivandrum, not only does home painting in Trivandrum, but also takes care of all domestic and industrial painting needs. Thayillam Paints is now established in Trivandrum as a multi-brand leading paint supplier.

While Thayillam Paints experienced significant growth with its single store in Ulloor, the company focused on customer loyalty and convenience, resulting in the opening of the first branch outlet in Vanchiyoor in 2005. In order to be closer to the customer, In the year 2006, Thayillam Paints chose Vazhuthacadu as the location for its next branch. In Further Expansion Thayillam Paints chose Karamana as the location for its next branch outlet in 2007.

In the year 2006-07, Thayillam paints were introduced the products of Akzonobel India Ltd, formerly known as ICI India, one of the major brands in the decorative market, with their colour dispenser (Colour Solutions), thus serving all the major brands. (Asian, Berger, Akzonobel), as well as other leading brands of paints and paint accessories such as Nerolac, MRF speciality coatings division, Dr.fixit, and several others.

Since the paint industry and colour patterns change so quickly, Asian Paints teamed up with Thayillam Paints to open their first Color Idea Store in South Kerala in 2011. It was opened by Mr.K.B.S.Anand, President – Decorative Sales, Asian Paints, in front of a huge crowd of well-wishers and customers.

Since 2010, we’ve been a part of the Super Premium Club with Asian Paints and the Gold Club with Berger Paints since 2006.
